After winning the state stages of the SESI Races, in Marabá, Parauapebas and Tucuruí, and participating in several competitions in the State, two SINOBRAS athletes are in the final phase of preparation to participate in the São Silvestre International Race, traditionally held on the 31st December in São Paulo.
Brothers Raimundo Nonato and Antonio José de Sousa will participate for the first time in one of the most important sporting events on the international calendar, which this year reaches its 90th edition with the participation of competitors from different countries.
The people from Pará will travel from Marabá to São Paulo on the next 12/29 and according to them, this participation is the fulfillment of a dream and the result of daily work. “We are very happy to be able to participate in this competition and even more so to be together. I also consider that one of the greatest joys was filling a podium entirely by SINOBRAS employees, as it has been in the last competitions we participated in ”, celebrates Raimundo Nonato.
The Race will take place in the morning, with the first start, for wheelchair runners, at 6:50 am, and for people with special needs, at 6:55 am.
The elite female squad will start at 8:40 am and then, at 9am, it will be the elite male squad, special squad (male and female) and athletes in general.
The 15 km route passes through some of the main tourist spots in the city of São Paulo, starting at Avenida Paulista, at Rua Frei Caneca, and arriving in front of the Cásper Líbero Foundation building. The current route map is available on the official race website.
