In order to contribute to the citizen education of children and adolescents in the municipality of Marabá, SINOBRAS is supporting the educational project Jiu-jitsu / 34º BPM, carried out by the 34th Battalion of the Military Police. The project is in its initial phase and awaits improvement in the framework of the Covid-19 pandemic so that training classes can be held.
SINOBRAS donated mats and kimonos for the project, which aims to add fundamental values for children and adolescents aged 8 to 15 years, of both sexes, for maturing as citizens through sport, also providing proximity with the Military Police. In addition, participants will have new perspectives through education and culture.
For the company, this partnership is a way of contributing to the development of young people in Marabá, in addition to strengthening institutional relations with the Military Police of the state of Pará. “We believe in the development of people and we know that sport is a major driver of this , helping children and adolescents to get out of idleness, bringing many social, physical and cultural benefits to the lives of these young people. That is why SINOBRAS has been committed to various social programs, establishing its commitment to the growth of the regions where it operates ”, highlights Ian Corrêa, vice-president of operations of Grupo Aço Cearense.
According to Lieutenant Rodrigues, responsible for the project, while the children are unable to attend jiu-jitsu classes, the troop is using the donated material to train and perfect the techniques that will be passed on in the project. “Self-defense training aims to improve physical conditioning and the improvement of martial arts techniques, in addition to improving the health and self-confidence of the public safety operator. These instructions serve as a test for the social project jiu-jitsu / 34º BPM to be developed with children and adolescents in the community, in order to bring the police and the community closer, breaking paradigms and generating a relationship of trust between the parties ”, explains the lieutenant.
