The Association of Visual Artists of the South and Southeast of Pará (ARMA) aims to promote culture for children and adolescents. With support and resources from SINOBRAS, the project My Community is Mais, the year 2014 was very positive, where the institution obtained an 82% increase in the public in relation to 2013, when it was not yet supported by Siderurgy.
With the funds made available by SINOBRAS, ARMA carried out several actions, such as Dance, Guitar, Theater, Drawing and Painting workshops; Reading Wheels and Cinema Session; workshops of Photography, Journalism Online and Photography and Audiovisual; three art exhibitions and two editions of the Youth Arts Exhibition. For one of the ARMA coordinators, Gilzane Magalhães, “the support that SINOBRAS has been granting to Arma and other reference institutions in Marabá is giving opportunity to young Maraba people and contributing to the income generation of the local artists who ministered the activities of the project ”.
According to Lara Borges, creator and coordinator of the Cultural Institute Hozana Lopes de Abreu, who also received support from SINOBRAS in 2014, with the support granted, the Institute developed the Biblioteca Viva Dá Liberdade project, which strengthened actions by artists and youth groups, residents in the Liberdade district, who work in the circus-theater-dance area. “This support gave the Cultural Institute the possibility to grow. Through the resource offered we had the opportunity to modify and improve our physical space. It was possible to acquire computers and cameras, books, costumes for our artists from the doer of Sorriso. With that, we were able to better serve our audience and increase our capacity to serve the community. Anyway, SINOBRAS opened the doors for a dream to gain space, ”he evaluated.

According to Patrícia Dutra, SINOBRAS Human Resources and project manager, support for institutions in 2014 was very positive and yielded excellent results. “We managed to achieve our goal, which is to add value to our society. On both fronts of work reaching an audience of around two thousand children, adolescents and young people who were directly benefited and we reached their families indirectly ”, concluded Patrícia Dutra.
