This Friday, the 5th, the 4th Youth Exhibition of Integrated Arts will be held by the Association of Visual Artists in the South and Southeast of Pará – Arma, which aims to reveal new talents from the culture of Maraba. The event will be held in the cultural space of Escola Judith Gomes Leitão, in Marabá Pioneira.
Result of the artistic training workshops of the “Arma Arte e Inclusão Social” project, the Exhibition has the support of SINOBRAS. The project serves hundreds of young people aged 10 to 18, who, in addition to artistic activities, participate in literary initiatives with reading circles, video workshops, photography and a cine club, thus stimulating Youth protagonism.
The Exhibition will feature presentations of folkloric and contemporary dances, theatrical performances, visual and musical arts exhibitions with guitar quartets, among other activities that contribute to the democratization of access to regional culture.
The event is mainly aimed at children and adolescents, expressing the institution’s concern to use art as a tool for social transformation in the lives of young Marabaenses. “In 2014, we prioritized the disclosure of new talents, which is why art shows have an important role, which is to give visibility and projection to these young artists from the local community”, explained Gilzane Magalhães, one of Arma’s directors.
