The results of the artistic training workshops of the project “Arma Arte e Inclusão Social”, carried out by the Association of Visual Artists of the South and Southeast of Pará (Arma), can be seen on these Thursday and Friday, 23 and 24/10, at Cine Marrocos at the 3rd Youth Exhibition of Integrated Weapons Arts. The initiative has the support of SINOBRAS, through the Minha Community is More Project, with resources from the Instituto Aço Cearense.
The Exhibition aims to reveal new talents from the culture of Maraba and in two days it will be possible to attend presentations of folkloric and contemporary dances, theatrical shows, visual and musical arts exhibitions with guitar quartets, among other activities that will contribute to the democratization of access to regional culture.
The project developed by Arma serves hundreds of young people aged 10 to 18, who, in addition to artistic activities, participate in literary initiatives such as reading circles, video workshops, photography and a cine club.
The 3rd exhibition held by Arma is aimed directly at childhood and youth, and expresses the institution’s interest in using art and culture as a tool for social transformation in the lives of young Maraba people, providing an improvement in the quality of life. “The show will contribute to its role in stimulating youth protagonism and raising the self-esteem of young people in Maraba, who can express themselves through their artistic skills. It is important that local society participates and honors these new cultural talents in the city ”, explained Gilzane Magalhães, one of Arma’s coordinators.
