In the midst of the delicate moment caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, many difficulties have arisen in almost all sectors of the country, but mainly in health. In Ceará, the situation has worsened even more in recent weeks and in solidarity with what the State has been going through, the Aço Cearense Group donated tests to detect Covid-19 and the transfer of oxygen cylinders to the municipality of São Gonçalo do Amarante.
The partnership, carried out with the City Hall, aims to collaborate with the city’s hospitals and health posts. According to the vice president of operations of the Aço Cearense Group, Ian Correa, the cylinders were granted until the end of the pandemic. “As Covid-19 compromises the respiratory system, oxygen is very important in the treatment and provides more comfort in the recovery of patients. We sympathize with the pain of people who have lost their families and we are committed to helping as much as possible so that more people have the opportunity to return healed to their families. In addition, we donate tests so that the municipality can more assertively detect people affected by the virus. If each one does his part, we gain strength in prevention ”, he highlights.
The Aço Cearense Group has been carrying out actions since April 2020, through the Instituto Aço Cearense and its companies, to mitigate the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. In Marabá, SINOBRAS, a Group company, has already transferred oxygen cylinders to the Marabá City Hall, in addition to many other campaigns to donate basic baskets, masks and cleaning and personal hygiene material to needy communities in the regions where the Group operates.
