SINOBRAS Florestal, one of the companies of the Aço Cearense Group, founded in 2006, is located in the municipality of São Bento do Tocantins (TO) and produces bioenergetic reducer to serve Siderúrgica Norte Brasil SA – SINOBRAS, a Group company based in Marabá ( PAN). In total, there are 17 own farms with eucalyptus plantations in the municipalities of São Bento do Tocantins, Araguatins and Ananás in the state of Tocantins, in an area of 40,000 hectares.
The company has 46 rectangular ovens, which mitigate environmental impacts and produce the bioenergetic reducer that is used by SINOBRAS. In addition, SINOBRAS Florestal has centralized in its operations the harvesting, transportation and handling of mechanized firewood and coal modules and a maintenance center that guarantees the availability of the equipment.
Contributing to the socioeconomic growth of the region, SINOBRAS Florestal generates about 200 direct jobs and at the time of planting, other employees are added for these seasonal operations.
