What father does not like to spend as much time with his children? What son is not proud to see his father working and taking care of the family? Thus, time with parents is always a precious moment. For those who can spend as much time as possible together, working in the same company can be a differentiator in the relationship between father and son. It is this differential that some families manage to have in the Aço Cearense Group.

Wangras Santos is one of the employees of SINOBRAS, a company belonging to the Aço Cearense Group, which has a history that involves his relationship with his father and with work. Almost ten years ago, the junior planner in the engineering area, went to work at the company with the support of his father, Milton Santos, who already worked in the mechanical maintenance of the company. Since then, a history of a lot of partnership has been erected between them.

“When my father came to work here at SINOBRAS, about a year later he opened a vacancy and he thought about me. When I made the selection, we were very happy because it was an opportunity to get closer and closer. I see my father as an example and for me it is very important to be able to be there and realize that he is proud to have me around and see me grow.

When I got married and left the house, I felt sorry for not seeing the family every day as before, but work provides me with this daily approach to my father, ”says Wangras.

Many companies have restrictions on having family members working in the same location. However, for the Aço Cearense Group, a strengthened family base is one of the great values prioritized by the company.

For Yasmin Coelho, administrative assistant at Aço Cearense Industrial, it was necessary to overcome the fear that people would think that she would only be there because of her father who had worked there for many years. “My father, Francisco Coelho, has been working in automotive maintenance for about ten years and I joined the company four years later.

He was already well known and I was afraid that they would think I got the job because of him, but I was very well received and managed to grow on my own merit, moving from apprentice to assistant.

I can see how my father is proud of me, that he is following a path similar to his in the company, with a lot of work and responsibility, earning the respect and admiration of people and that is why I feel very happy to work so close to him, because he follow me closely ”, explains Yasmim.

According to the coordinator of Human Resources, Eliana Freitas, with the approach of Father’s Day, the Aço Cearense Group reinforces in its values the importance of the family. “For us, it is very positive to have these and so many other stories of parents and children who come together more through the profession and living together in our companies.

Having family members in the workplace brings a sense of pride to them, making them feel more welcomed. For parents who do not work with their children, we have a project to visit family members at the Group’s units, as a way to bring them closer together, ”explains the HR manager.
