One of the main actions to prevent accidents at work and to be efficient in the Maintenance routine is the practice of organization and cleaning, fundamental for the hygiene, health and safety of employees. That’s why the Engineering and Maintenance team adopted the SOL tool (Sense of Organization and Cleanliness), with the objective of transforming and improving the work environment.
The project includes training and monthly evaluation of the Workshops’ performance in the search for improvements in the organization, cleaning and use of the area.
1st – Separate the useful from the useless, eliminating the unnecessary;
2nd – Organize objects, equipment and materials so that they can be accessed and used immediately;
3rd – Thoroughly clean and investigate the workplace for dirt or imperfections.
The first training took place in June and was given by Kaio Studart, Industrial Engineer at ACI Matriz. Kelson Nogueira, Maintenance Technician, liked: “I found it very useful, we learned more about organization, cleaning and conservation of materials and this makes all the difference in our routine, facilitates activities, avoids accidents, improves the team’s atmosphere and even quality of employees’ lives”, he commented.
The first evaluation took place from the 25th to the 29th of June. The workshops that reach at least 90% of use in the SOL criteria will receive a banner alluding to the project, as an exemplary area.
