Aço Cearense graduated 94 new high school students through the EducaAço Project, carried out in partnership with SESI. The event was attended by the project’s directors, managers and professors. The ceremony was held at the Logistics Warehouse at Aço Cearense Industrial Matriz.
Pedro Jorge de Almeida, Expedition Auxiliary at Aço Cearense Industrial Filial and speaker of the class, said: “We all have dreams and when we achieve this, the tendency is to jump to other dreams. EducaAço gave us the opportunity to fulfill one of our dreams, the completion of high school, and this will open doors to new horizons”, said the graduate.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was employee Felipe Silva Teixeira, who completed high school at EducaAço. Today he is Supervisor of the Production area of Aço Cearense Industrial Filial. He joined the company as a Production Assistant and progressed through his career until reaching the management position. “I’m going to complete 11 years with the company and Aço Cearense gave me the opportunity to take EducaAço to finish high school. I was part of the first group of the project and thanks to him in the middle of the year I finished my Business Administration degree. Studying leverages any person’s career, all you have to do is want it and have the opportunity”, he emphasized.
Grupo Aço Cearense’s values are to maintain a talented, committed and fulfilled team. To do this, it invests in training its employees through initiatives such as EducaAço.
