After winning second place in the Brazilian Paracycling Championship in the Endurance Race and third in the Time Trial, during races held from December 1st to 3rd in Rio de Janeiro, the Ceará Mountain Bike Elite and Marathon champion, Gilberto Silva, cyclist from Ceará , sponsored by Instituto Aço Cearense, also reached the first place in the Brazilian ranking of Paracycling.
With the sum of points obtained throughout the year, Gilberto also won second place in the national ranking of Mountain Bike Elite. “Reaching the top of the national ranking was an old dream, now achieved. Going forward, we need to redouble our efforts to go even further”, emphasized Gilberto Silva, who is a collaborator at Aço Cearense Comercial.
Happy with his successful year, the cyclist from Ceará is now preparing for the challenges of 2018. The first competition will be the Rally Cerapió, from 23rd to 27th January. Afterwards, the preparation will be total for the South American Paracycling Championship, which takes place on March 14th and 15th, in Rio de Janeiro.
