Last Friday (12), the Aço Cearense Group presented its cases of success in the area of sustainability for postgraduate students of the University of Fortaleza (Unifor). A Talk show was held to exchange knowledge with students. The event on corporate sustainability was also attended by companies Enel and Cimento Apodi.
Sustainability manager at Aço Cearense, Carlos Yves Cavalcante, spoke about the projects of the Group companies, such as the use of Scrap in the steel production of SINOBRAS and the production of the bioenergetic reducer made by SINOBRAS Florestal, companies of the group that are based in states of Pará and Tocantins, as well as the use of rainwater and programs of the Aço Cearense Institute, which involve education, sports and social actions, carried out in Ceará.
The Talk Show invitation came from Professor Márcio Rios, who teaches for various classes of specialization and proposed this exchange of knowledge among the guests. “We always hold the Talk Show with managers who stand out in the sustainability scenario. It is a way of bringing the students closer to the market by showing them real success stories in the area, “he explained.
