In preparation for next month’s Pan American Karate Championship in Ecuador, the athlete sponsored by the Cearense Steel Institute, Jonathan Benvindo, will compete next Saturday, August 3, at the Pernambuco National Karate Open.
With more than 200 medals in competitions, the young man fights to reach the world championship that will take place in November this year in Chile. The Pernambuco competition has points for the national ranking, which can take you to the World Cup. “I am confident that I will get a good score at the Pernambuco Open which will also be a good opportunity to evaluate my performance for the Pan American that will happen a few days later,” explained the athlete.
The last weekend was a victory for the collaborating athlete Lisandra Dantas, from the area of Hiring of the Cearense Industrial Matriz Steel, sponsored by the Cearense Steel Institute. On Saturday (27), she participated in Beach Run Brazil – Paracuru Stage, where she won the 3rd place in the general category 5km female. According to the athlete it was a challenging course. “There were strong winds on the return of 5 km, uphill, downhill, hot sun and most of the route was in loose sand,” he said.
Already on Sunday competed in the Fortaleza Youth Race and was the 1st place in the general category 5 km female. “Thank God for the results. Only He gives me strength and is my foundation for everything. I am very happy!”.
