2nd edition of IAC Social benefits 500 people with free services

Wednesday May 22nd, 2019

Designed for the whole family, with diverse actions for children and adults, IAC Social promoted in Caucaia, on the 18/05, a series of activities in another edition of free services for the population of the municipality. The event brought together about 500 people for a day of leisure, culture and social development.
“This is the second IAC SOCIAL, a way to bring a little solidarity to this community so lacking in these services that we are offering. It is a unique and pleasurable moment, because with this humanitarian work, in solidarity, we give a little of ourselves and the community feels welcomed, humanized and valued, “celebrates Rosemeire Matos, president of the Aço Cearense Institute, idealizer of social action.
Among the activities, the NGO Cepe Vive organized a workshop to make mandalas with reuse of CDs. The handicraft teacher and NGO member, Maninha Parente, worked to reuse materials that would go into the trash, transforming them into handicrafts. “If everyone turned trash into art, it would be better for the planet. For the community is also a possibility of source of income, “shared Maninha.
Maria Lucia, who went to the event accompanied by her niece Rita Alice, took the opportunity to check her health, while the grandchildren ran around participating in the games proposed in the Camurupim neighborhood. “We’ve never come here and we’re enjoying it, I’ve already had blood and checked the pressure while the kids are having fun,” Maria said.
The program included beauty and esthetics services, blood pressure measurement, glucose testing and vaccination, as well as physical activities such as zumba and water aerobics. The participants also had access to care from the Tutelary Council and the Single Registry, as well as a lecture on oral health and exposure on the Aedes Aegypt mosquito and arboviruses. The children participated in the activities with toys and paint in plaster, besides the musical animation.
