The paracyclist from Ceará Gilberto Silva brought home new medals. The athlete won second and third places in two events of the Copa Brasil de Paracycling, which took place on February 23 and 24, in Maringá (PR).
The Copa Brasil is one of the main events on the national calendar and counts points in the national and international ranking. On Saturday (23), Gilberto went to Maringá with the support of Instituto Aço Cearense, which has supported the athlete for nine years, and reached third place in the time trial and on Sunday, came second in the resistance test (70km).
For Gilberto, who was already national champion, each race is an overcoming. “The result of this competition was very good, but I still want to surpass myself more, as the intention is to participate in international championships and who knows how to make up the Brazilian team. And thanks to Instituto Aço Cearense, I can participate in very important races for this growth in my career”, said the paracyclist.
