The athlete sponsored by the Instituto Aço Cearense, Gilberto Silva, won the event of the Projeto Cyclismo nos Bairros in the Master category. The event took place on September 7th, in Eusébio.
Gilberto, who recently participated in the Panamericano de Paraciclismo, has been with an intense training routine for some time. According to the athlete, this routine helped him to achieve the good results he has been achieving. “I’m happy with this result, as the race had many high-level cyclists. For me it’s important because that way I know I’m at a good level and with good preparation”, says Gilberto.
The Cycling in the Neighborhoods Project seeks to enhance the sport of Ceará, carrying out the event always in a different neighborhood of Fortaleza. The test also encourages the use of bicycles as a sport, as a means of transport and also for leisure.
