IAC performs 2nd Cycling Tour Pedaling for Peace, Caucaia

An act to mobilize the communities of Caucaia and nearby regions encouraging an experience of peace and awaken in young people the importance of cycling as a sporting category. It is with this objective that the Aço Cearense Institute promotes, for the second time, on 9 September (Saturday), from 7 a.m., the Cycling Tour “Pedaling for Peace” in Caucaia. The initiative takes place in partnership with the Association Escola de Campeões (located at Raimundo Nonato Alexandre st., 1273 – Camurupim), from where will leave and arrive the walk, after passing through the streets of Mestre Antônio neighborhood. The expectation is of a public superior to the last edition, occurred in 2016, when about 100 people attended.

On the occasion, there will be also theatrical presentation with students of the Escola de Campeões and moment of prayer. Anyone can attend, wearing white, and the children must be accompanied by a responsible. Entries must be made at the Escola de Campeões from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with presentation of the CPF and RG or Birth Certificate. Pedaling for Peace in Marco (CE)

On August 11, the Aço Cearense Institute held the first edition of the Pedaling for Peace Project in Marco (distant 236 km from Fortaleza), with the support of Crea-CE and the Municipal Sports Secretariat. The event changed the routine of the residents, with the participation of about 700 people, including students, teachers and managers of public schools in the city, who took advantage of the holiday of the Student Day to participate. Cyclist Gilberto Silva, sponsored by the Institute, participated both in pedaling and giving a motivational talk about the important role of sport in his life trajectory. Today, Gilberto Silva is the 2nd place in cycling in the state and the 3rd in the country in the XCM category.
