The collaborator of Grupo Aço Cearense and paracyclist, Gilberto Silva, is sponsored by the Aço Cearense Institute, he won another great result. He was the 3rd place in the 1st Stage of the Brazil Cup of Parabolic in the Proof of Resistance – category C5, completing the circuit of 3.9 km in 1h 18m 22s. In the Test of Contrarrelogio, Gilberto finished in the fourth place. This was the fourth medal of Ceará in stages of the Brazilian Cup of Paraclete. The edition is one of the main events of the national calendar and counted points for the Brazilian ranking.
The event took place on June 3 and 4, at the Municipal Velodrome of Indaiatuba, in São Paulo. The competition was held by the Brazilian Cycling Confederation (CBC), Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB) and Federation Paulista de Cycling (FPC).
Gilberto has more than 300 podiums in his career. Hundreds of medals and prizes guarded with care and pride in the house where he lives with his wife and two children, in the Luzardo Viana Park neighborhood, in Maracanaú (CE).
The last victories of the athlete were in the city of Pedro Segundo, Piauí, where he won first place in the Elite category and second overall. In May Gilberto participated in the Hally 40 Degrees and won the third place in his category, both are classified for the national ranking. Their next fight will be in July, in Picos also in Piauí.
